There are few places in New York where I genuinely feel at ease (and not as if I’m about to shove 3 or 4 people off the sidewalk) and west village is truly one of them. In my last Greenwich village home I discovered this adorable little restaurant down Bleeker with one of those rare, beautiful little backyards that make you feel like maybe you’re not in a concrete jungle, even if just for a few hours. I had only ever had dinner in the romantically lit (with xmas lights) courtyard, but thought I may try brunch, and yes, it was a great idea.

I decided to start my day with a little healthy cross-town walk from Soho, but of course that resulted in me stopping by Balthazar for a quick chocolate croissant. A few blood orange mimosas and smoked salmon & egg combos later, I was ready for a few fun photos!

I had been looking for a casual strappy heel for the Spring and luckily tried on (and bought) these beauties from the Steve Madden store next door. Luckily, they went pretty well with my outfit too! The day was all about channeling the ’80s ballerina – this skirt can turn any outfit into a fun easy daytime look -flowy and free, it gives just the right amount of glamour.
