Greyhound Cafe

When it’s nice out (which was for exactly 3 days in London), the first thing I do is google “best places to eat outside.” And more often than not, google fails me. I can never find new gems but rather always the same top 10 list of overpriced, average brunch places. That is, until I discovered Greyhound Cafe.

This place is not like your usual brunch. First of all, it’s Thai food, so forget your eggs benedicts and pancakes. Why not try something different for once? But don’t be fooled, this isn’t your takeout quality pad thai. The food here is exceptionally well made, unique enough to separate it from the usual Deliveroo/Uber Eats thai joints, but still local enough to capture a heavily asian crowd (very important for gauging authenticity of an Asian restaurant in my opinion). Not to mention, the place is centrally located, yet not overpriced. Shocker, I know.

But probably my favorite aspect of Greyhound is the al fresco situation. I know London’s been a bit of a downer in terms of sunlight, but once summer hits, and I ensure you it will like the fast & the furious, you’re going to be thanking me for finding you the perfect place to lounge, dine & sip on a cocktail while rocking around in the super cute egg seats outside Greyhound (see pic above). All I’m saying is, I’m going to take my mom whenever she visits, which is kind of a big deal because she’s has super high standards.

Two dishes you should really try: Beef Yum (which is seriously yum, SO much flavor and not at all chewy) & the Lobster Spaghetti (but beware, it’s actually spicy, not like “american” spicy)
